In 2023, Motorola releases the Moto Edge+ which boasts of a 165Hz display and costs less.
Motorola may have improved their cell phones since the last one and the Moto Edge+ 2023 is an upgraded version in many ways. The new phone is equipped with a 5,100mAh battery, a 165Hz 6.7-inch OLED display, and a speedier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. When compared to the 50MP standard and ultra-wide cameras, the 12MP 2X telephoto camera is a significant upgrade. The technology exists to take 60MP selfies.
It has a less-than-ideal 8 GB of RAM, but offers 256 GB or 512 GB of non-expandable storage, 68 watts of rapid wired charging, 15 watts of wireless charging, and 5 watts of wireless power sharing. Motorola also guarantees OS upgrades for three years and security updates for four years at a bimonthly cadence. Not as long as Samsung's guarantee, but it could outlast your phone.
The reasonable cost is another selling point. On May 25th, Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorola will sell the unlocked 2023 Edge+ for $800, down from $1,000 for the 2022 variant. Cellphones will soon become more affordable. The Moto G 5G and Moto G Stylus of 2023 are better buys if affordability is prioritized over raw power. Both the G Stylus and the G 5G have 6.5-inch screens with 720p resolution, 4GB of RAM, and either a Helio G85 or a Snapdragon 480+ engine. Access to up to 128GB of internal storage that may be expanded, a 50MP (G Stylus) or 48MP (G 5G) primary camera, a 2MP macro sensor, and an 8MP front-facing camera. A charging cord is needed for this model.
First, on May 5, the $200 Moto G Stylus will be available. It's on the way to Cricket and Straight Talk. On May 25, the Moto G 5G will be available for $250 from AT&T, Google Fi, T-Mobile, and US Cellular. The Edge's software lasting very long should not be counted because of the model's short OS update cycle.
