Indian multinational conglomerate company Reliance has launched its first ever budget friendly laptop, JioBook at sale price 15000 INR.
Designed for basic purposes like education or browsing, Jio laptop was already on display at 6th edition of Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022, has flooded Indian Market on 20th October 2022.
The closer look on unit: The packaged box of JioBook has a manual reader, one year warranty card, A 55.1 to 60 AH charger and the laptop JioBook. The JioBook is minimally designed. The magnesium alloy body has skin of ABC plastic with matte finish of only blue color variant and shiny JIO logo. Left-side ports are charger port, USB 2.0 slot and HDMI port. Right-ports are a 3.5mm audio port, a microSD card slot and USB 3.0 slot. It doesn’t provide USB Type-C port. Base of laptop has four rubber pads and two cutouts for better ventilation. JioBook is designed with optimized heat dissipation, noise less and fan less function.
Specification: Anti-glare skin, 1366×768-pixel resolution, 11.6 inches HD display.
It has a 2 mega pixel web camera.
It has an Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and pre-loaded personalized operating system JioOS.
It has 2GB RAM of speed of 1,866 MHz, the RAM comes with 32GB eMMC storage but no RAM expandability.
Bluetooth connectivity of 5.0 version, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac supported but no ethernet connectivity facility.
The Netbook supports 4G LTE mobile broadband connectivity. Customer need to visit JIO store for SIM activation. Associated SIM/ ICCID number information is on the JioBook box.
It has dual internal speakers and dual microphones and is paired with a standard size spill proof keyboard and a touchpad with multi touch -gesture support but no fingerprint scanner.
Battery of 500mAh claims to offer over 8 hours of battery life.
The device is light weight, weighs 1.2 kg.
