Fossil is planning to launch a new smartwatch with Gen 6 design, named Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid Wellness Edition, at CES 2023.
The best in the market of smartwatches which includes brands like Samsung, Google have brought into the market the best Android smartwatches for quite a long time back. Now, Fossil’s Gen 6 has been roped into with plenty of DIY trudging , and without any support from Google Fit and Google Assistant. It will be launched at the CES 2023, with the full name Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid Wellnes Edition.
The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid Wellness Edition comes with the added feature of e Ink display and mechanical time keeping arm. The smartwatch helps in tracking the heart rate, SpO2, steps, VO2 Max, and other health metrics. It enables to know the physical state of an individual.
Some of the features of the smartwatch includes- The case material of this smartwatch is made of stainless steel spans 44mm in diameter with color combination with black, silver and gold. Water resistance is rated at 3 ATM. It has a battery life of 2 weeks with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. It has health sensors tracking heart rate and SpO2. The display is not the usual conventional type. It is a backlit E Ink screen with an information-dense home watchface mentioning time, date, present weather, heart rate, battery level, and many health meters with sensors including calories, steps, sleep patterns and SpO2. The advanced designed are the physical arms and the interval markers around the display to know the analog time.
The hardware consists of one home button and two configurable side button, microphone for calling with Alexa calling, a haptic motor, needed health trackers, radios for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. No SoC is mentioned. It has the facility of magnetic charging as well. The watch is priced for $229 and the strap $30 from Fossil starting from January 5.
