According to reports, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will sport displays that are significantly larger.
Ross Young, an analyst for the display business at Display Supply Chain Consultants, says that the screens on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models that are expected to come out in 2024 will be about 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. Mr. Young has a history of making statements that turn out to be very accurate. Young says that the screen sizes of 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches are rounded to the next whole number. Young replied to our news post and said that he would give exact measurements to two decimal places during his keynote speech at the Display Week meeting in Los Angeles on May 23. Young didn't say that either the regular iPhone 16 or the iPhone 16 Plus had bigger screens.
As Apple keeps improving the iPhone, new screen sizes are being thought about that would make them the biggest ever. When the iPhone 15 Pro models come out later this year, the screens of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are not expected to change.
Young has a track record of being right about the screens of new Apple devices. In the past, he was right about a number of things, like the fact that ProMotion would be added to the iPhone 13 Pro, as well as the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, and that the sixth-generation iPad mini would have a bigger 8.3-inch screen.
The iPhone 16 Ultra should come out at the same time as the iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It will have better optics, more functions, and a bigger screen.
