Iceland Teams Up with Mumsnet for New Range of 'Family-Friendly' Ready Meals

Iceland Foods has teamed up with Mumsnet to introduce Little Explorer, a new range of five kid's ready meals created for busy family households.
The meals – Fantastic Fish Pie, Classic Cottage Pie and Super Spaghetti Bolognese – are created to be healthy, containing one of your five-a-day, high levels of vegetables, low in salt and no added sugars, emulsifiers or preservatives.
According to coherent market estimates, the ready to eat food market is anticipated to expand at a CAGR of 7.7% throughout the forecasting period of 2025-2032. The market is anticipated to be worth USD 185.78 Bn in 2025 and is anticipated to grow to USD 312.25 Bn by 2032. The size of the industry is being led by increasing demand for convenience food globally.
Paul Dhaliwal, chief commercial officer at Iceland Foods, said: “We’re delighted to be exclusively stocking the new Mumsnet range, and we’re pleased to share that a portion of the sales will be going directly to Alder Hey. The ongoing cost of living crisis is impacting families in many ways, but parents should never have to compromise the nutritional needs of their children. The range is one part of our ongoing commitment to providing healthy, affordable solutions for busy families."
The range is Mumsnet's first. Mumsnet founder and CEO Justine Roberts said the site's aim is to simplify parents' lives. She added: "We're delighted to have teamed up with Iceland to create a range of children's ready meals that will just do that.". We understand from the thousands of on-site conversations that it may be hard for busy parents to strike the correct balance between convenience and nutrition when they are feeding their children. "Our new range has been thoughtfully made from healthy ingredients you'd have in your own kitchen, so even when you're in a rush, you can still be sure you're making a healthy choice for your kids – and serving up something that they'll actually enjoy eating."
The ready meals are sold only online and in-store at Iceland and The Food Warehouse for a retail price of £2, with £0.5p from every sale going to Alder Hey Children's Charity, a charity that helps support one of Europe's busiest hospitals.
