UK savoury pastry brand Ginsters has introduced a new limited-edition beans and cheese slice in partnership with Heinz.
The tie-up is to leverage both brands' solid established identities, with a total heritage of more than 200 years. The new item includes Heinz' traditional baked beans, paired with cheese and encased in Ginsters' puff pastry. The product has no added artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives.
Sarah Babb, marketing director at Ginsters, added: "Heinz Beanz is a national treasure! Pairing them with cheese and encasing them in our ideal puff pastry is guaranteed to excite shoppers up and down the country and stimulate category growth. This timeless much-loved pairing, now with a twist, is going to make lunchtimes more exciting, delicious, and convenient."
As per coherent market insights, the cheese industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.7% during the forecast period of 2025-2032. The market will be US$ 110.11 Bn in 2025 and grow to US$ 162.42 Bn by 2032. The market size is being driven by the rising demand for packaged and prossed dairy products in both develop and emerging economies.
Ginsters and Heinz hope to grab the attention of more consumers and stimulate sales in the fixture with this new launch.
Alessandra de Dreuille, Kraft Heinz UK's meals marketing and commercial director, added: “At Heinz, we’re always looking for new ways to bring our iconic Beanz to fans across the UK, and what better way than wrapped in Ginsters’ golden, flaky pastry? This collaboration is a perfect blend of two great products coming together to create a slice that’s as comforting as it is delicious."
Ginsters was established in 1967 in Cornwall, UK, and was acquired by Samworth Brothers in 1977. It is famous for its Cornish pasties and also sells a range of slices, bakes, and sausage rolls.
The new slice will be on sale from 28 March at Morrisons, followed by 7 April at Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's. Availability at other retailers will follow from June.
