InnerSloth and Schell Games are going to develop a virtual reality platform for a 2-D video game.
In 2020, gamers across the world were introduced to a new video game platform called ‘Among Us’. Even though the game was initially released in 2018, it became a phenomenon during the COVID pandemic in 2020. Since then, the game has been a hot topic in the gaming community. The simple design of the gaming platform and the strategically designed quest levels of the game attracted lots of gamers to play this game. Players can only enjoy the 2-D platform of this game for now, but soon they will be able to play this game on a virtual reality platform.
During the event of the Game Awards, game developer InnerSloth revealed their plans for the new virtual reality platform for this game. The game will be developed and designed in partnership with InnerSloth, Schell Games, and Robot Teddy. All of these developers will be working to design virtual reality platforms suitable for PlayStation VR and PC VR platforms. The VR mode of the game is going to be a part of Meta Quest 2. In their respective studios, Robot Teddy and Schell Games created a variety of video games such as I Expect You to Die, Until You Fall, and Superhot VR.
The company also declared that they are launching the current gaming platform, Among Us, for the PS4, PS5, and Xbox devices. This game will be available on these gaming consoles by December 14th. The teaser for virtual reality was premiered at the Games Awards and is available on YouTube.
Users are already fond of the mobile versions of video games. Most of them enjoy playing this game on the short platform. After seeing the teaser, the gaming community will undoubtedly give the virtual reality version of Among Us a chance.
