Incidence of accidental skin burns are increasing across the globe. Life threatening skin injuries, traumas, and burns require immediate surgical procedure to restore skin and avoid future complications. Skin burns are broadly classified into three levels, namely 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns. Temporary skin material: Its effect lasts between several months and 2.5 years, depending on the type, quality, and quantity of injected material.

Permanent skin material: These are epidermal skin and dermal skin materials. Bio-Alcamid is a synthetic polymer that contains 97% water. It is injected into the inner tissue to fill and thicken it.

Composite Skin Material: These are further sub-segmented into skin graft and engineered skin material.
