In October 2017, Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL) which a chemical manufacturer announced that the company has entered into agreement to acquire DuPont Teijin Films (DTF), a manufacturer of Biaxially-oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate (BOPET) and Polyethylene Naphthalate (PEN) films. The agreement incudes to acquire DTF’s 8 production assets in the US, Europe and China along with the global innovation center in the UK.
In May 2017, DuPont Teijin Films (DTF) announced its collaboration with SBE Inc. Under this agreement SBE Inc. would supply capacitors using DuPont Teijin Film PEN HV film for all high performance high temperature applications.
In 2016, Tekra, A Division of EIS, Inc. has announced the addition of new flame retardant polyester films to be used as low cost alternatives in construction, electronics, labels and lightning industries. The company used halogen free polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films and polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) films from DuPont Teijin to its new product.
