North America is expected to hold a dominant position in the global patient lift pendant market, owing to high number of overweight and obese adults.

For instance, in June 2019 according to a report published in Statistics Canada, in 2018, 26.8% of Canadians aged 18 and older (roughly 7.3 million adults) reported height and weight that classified them as obese. 9.9 million adults (36.3%) were classified as overweight.
