On 19^th July 2019, BASF SE increased the production capacity for its Tinopal, CBS optical brighteners at their site in Monthey, Switzerland. This capacity expansion will continue till 2022 and the first additional capacities will be in stream from 2021. The company has invested into this expansion in order to meet the customer’s increasing demand, globally.
On 8^th July 2019, BASF SE, India announced to sell its optical brighteners business to Archroma Group, a maker of color and specialty chemicals. This is expected to expand Archroma Group’s product portfolio during the future period.
