In April 2023, Nanovery, a biotechnology research company, raised over £1.85 million (US$ 2.23) funding to help its quest to save more lives through more accurate testing for prostate cancer. Nanovery has developed a nanorobot platform to detect chronic illnesses such as prostate cancer and liver disease. Its new nanorobot advancements include technologies that will be applicable for detection across various sectors. These include life sciences, pre-clinical drug development, agriculture bio and food safety.
In March 2021, Bionaut Labs, a company developing nanorobots that can be used to deliver drugs to treat brain diseases, announced that it had received US$20 million in a funding round led by Silicon Valley venture capital giant Khosla Ventures and Santa Monica-based Upfront Ventures.
