Key Developments–

1. In March 2020, U.S. Food Drug Administration (FDA) granted emergency expanded access to ‘Bellerophon Therapeutics’ inhaled nitric oxide delivery system for treating the novel coronavirus.
2. In January 2020, Shanghai Showa Electronics Materials’ new facility which is to be built adjacent to its current factory, will produce high purity nitrous oxide delivery systems and high purity octafluorocyclobutane gases. The factor is expected to start operations in the second half of 2021.
3. In 2018, African Oxygen Limited (Afrox) signed a new state healthcare contract from October 2017 to September 2022 , the healthcare contract includes providing  the supply of a range of medical and other gases including oxygen, nitrogen, nitrous oxide delivery systems, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, helium, argon, gas mixtures and refrigeration gases, besides others across South Africa. Moreover, contract also specified that, Afrox will supply range of medicinal and other gases to more than 400 hospitals and 1600 clinics across South Africa.
4. In 2017, Linde EOX Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Linde Malaysia Sdn Bhd and a member of The Linde Group, collaborated with Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Sarawak (JKNS) to provide medical gases and upgrades related to facilities to all public hospitals in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia.
