On January 12, 2024, Efficient Power Conversion (EPC) introduced three laser driver boards featuring AEC-Q101 qualified GaN FETs, demonstrating rapid transition for enhanced LiDAR system performance. These boards, named EPC9179, EPC9181, and EPC9180, showcase pulse current laser drivers of 75A, 125A, and 231A respectively, highlighting EPC's AEC-Q101 GaN FETs. The FETs—EPC2252, EPC2204A, and EPC2218A—are 30% smaller and more cost-effective compared to their predecessors.
In January 2024, a research team from imec unveiled perovskite-based LEDs capable of emitting light 1000 times brighter than OLEDs.
