  • In July 2023, MG Motor India Private Limited an India based automobile manufacturer, through a strategic joint venture between JSW Group, a multinational conglomerate and a China based automotive manufacturer, SAIC Motor MG, introduced an enhanced version of its ZS electric vehicle, featuring autonomous level-2 (ADAS) capabilities. This update includes new features like forward collision warning (FCW), which alerts the driver about potential collisions and initiates automatic interventions if no action is taken. The MG ZS EV comes with a speed assist system (SAS) provides alerts and prevents the driver from exceeding speed limits. The vehicle is also equipped with lane keep assist functions to avoid unintended deviations and lane changes during driving.
  • In May 2023, Hyundai Motor Company, an automotive manufacturer, launched Hyundai Verna. Equipped with a Level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), the Hyundai Verna stands out with its comprehensive safety features, including over 30 standard specifications. A key highlight is the Hyundai SmartSense, an ADAS suite featuring more than 17 active safety enhancements. Among these, the Verna includes lane keep assist and lane departure warning systems, thereby facilitating effortless lane maintenance. These systems detect lane markings and issue warnings, such as steering wheel vibrations, when there's a risk of the vehicle drifting out of the lane. The Lane keep assist feature autonomously adjusts the steering to keep the Verna centered within the lane, thus ensuring optimal alignment.
  • In July 2020, ZF Friedrichshafen, a supplier of system for the commercial vehicles, passenger cars and industrial technology introduced the trifocal front camera that enhances performance of lane keeping assist system by offering optimal vision in various weather conditions. The latest S-Cam 4.8 introduces a significantly widened 100-degree field of view, with enhancing functions like automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane-keeping, and semi-automated vehicle capabilities. This advanced system combines Mobileye's cutting-edge object recognition technology with ZF Friedrichshafen's expertise in longitudinal and lateral vehicle control through the integration of the EyeQ4 platform.
