In 2017, Ingredion Incorporated launched new range of insoluble dietary fiber NOVELOSE for fiber fortification & calorie reduction in pastas, baked goods, noodles and extruded products with lower impact on product texture, color and flavor. The product is process stable and insoluble type 4 resistant starch ingredient. The product launch helped company to meet increasing demand for high fiber products.
In 2016, Ingredion Incorporated launched VERSAFIBE 2470 and 1490 insoluble dietary fibers. VERSAFIBE 2470 is a corn based dietary fiber which helps in improving expansion in extruded products and is ideal in applications with high temperature and shear processing. VERSAFIBE 1490 is a grain free potato based dietary fiber which helps in improving texture in cereals, crackers, and pastas.
In June 2018, Ingredion Incorporated launched Potex and Potex Crown insoluble dietary fibers which will find application in bakery, meat and savory products. These fibers can absorb water up to 12 times their own weight which helps it to increase juiciness of meats or add moisture to baked goods.
