- In 2022, Intelsat, an operator of one of the world’s largest integrated satellite and terrestrial networks and leading provider of In-flight Connectivity (IFC), has been named the Best WiFi Service in commercial aviation by Global Traveler (GT) magazine, for the second consecutive year
- In August 2022, Intelsat and Nelco, prominent participants in the satellite and In-Flight connectivity industries, collaborated to offer In-Flight internet solutions including In-Flight Wifi within the Indian airspace. This partnership aims to deliver comprehensive internet connectivity for both domestic and international flights arriving at or departing from Indian airports, as well as for aircraft flying over the country's airspace.
- In June 7, 2023, The Seamless Air Alliance, a developer of global standards for In-flight Connectivity (IFC), launched the Seamless-Certified Service Quality programme for connectivity service providers, and that it has already secured Thales as the first member company to achieve Seamless-Certification.
- In January 19, 2023, RoyalJet Abu Dhabi, a private aviation operator, signed a letter of intent with Honeywell, a diversified manufacturing and technology company to add Ka-band connectivity services to its latest Boeing Business Jet (BBJ). The companies have been working together for five years, and with this latest deal Honeywell will supply its JetWave high-speed satellite communications hardware and airtime services, which will enable secure, high-speed Wi-Fi on all devices brought on board via Inmarsat Aviation’s, a leading inflight Wi-Fi service providerGX Ka-band network.
