New product launches

• On April 2023, InterSystems a software company launched its new healthcare middleware platform, HealthShare Health Connect Cloud. This platform is designed to help healthcare organizations connect and share data across their enterprise, regardless of the different systems they use.
• On March 2022, Microsoft a technology company launched Azure Health Data Services. This platform is a cloud-based solution that allows healthcare organizations to store, manage, and analyze healthcare data in the open standards Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM).
• On September 18, 2023, Oracle launched new generative AI services for healthcare organizations. Integrated with Oracle’s electronic health record (EHR) solutions, the new Oracle Clinical Digital Assistant enables providers to leverage the power of generative AI together with voice commands to reduce manual work so that they can focus more attention on patient care.

Acquisition and partnerships

• In January 2021, Optum a healthcare company acquired Change Healthcare a healthcare company for US$ 13 billion. This acquisition helped Optum expand its healthcare middleware portfolio and provide its customers with a more comprehensive solution for connecting and sharing data across their enterprise.
• In January 2021, TigerConnect a communication company acquired Critical Alert, a leading provider of enterprise-grade middleware for hospitals and health systems. The Critical Alert’s middleware solution cloud-native and mobile-first enables the health system to combine nurse call, alarm and event management, medical device interoperability, and clinical workflow analytics.
