Key Developments-

• In 2017, Gelnex (manufacturer of gelatin and collagen peptides) started its fifth gelatin manufacturing plant in Mato Grosso (Brazil). The new plant helped Gelnex to increase its gelatin production capacity.
• In February 2018, Rousselot launched ‘StabiCaps’ a gelatin solution for soft gels. StabiCaps exhibits superior stability in presence of cross-linkers, optimum API release and dissolution of the shell.
• In April 2018, Nitta Gelatin Inc. launched DRG Gelatin, a gelatin solution for soft gels designed to inhibit cross-linkage reactions. DRG Gelatin will contain & protect active ingredients in the capsule and promote rapid solubility upon ingestion.
• In May 2019, Tessenderlo Group launched ‘ClaroBGI600’ a new gelatin material for tissue engineering. The new material allows printing with lower pressure and superior shape fidelity, without compromising biocompatibility and final gel strength of the construct.
