In July 2024, Developers VSB and NextWind a pioneering company focused on developing innovative wind energy solutions have brought a proposal to repower a wind farm in the Saxony-Anhalt region by tripling its original capacity. The developers intend to replace 27 old turbines between the Vestas' V80 and V52 models and Enercon's E66 models with 16 new Vestas V172 units. In Zörbig, the previous installations had a capacity of 40.5MW; with repowering, the capacity will be increased to 115.2 MW.
In July 2024, a global leader in decentralized renewable energy systems, Ryse Energy renewable energy company specializing in innovative energy solutions, announced the acquisition of the U.S.'s leading micro wind turbine manufacturer, Primus Wind Power. This strategic acquisition positions Ryse Energy as the world's most diversified small wind turbine technology player, unlocks new North American opportunities, and accelerates U.S.-manufactured Ryse Energy wind turbines. The acquisition adds the tried and tested AIR turbines of Primus Wind Power to Ryse's diverse portfolio of high-performance small turbines.
In May 2023, WR a crucial aspect of software development, installed mini windmills near Khar and Naigaon railway stations in India. Turbine blades will rotate when train passes through them, producing electricity in the range of 1kW to 10kW. It has decided to install such windmills at more locations after its successful result. So, this green energy will be transmitted to main grid and will boost product adoption across the region.
