In October 2022, Tri-Mack Plastics Manufacturing Corp, a specialist in high-performance thermoplastic parts, announced the creation of a lightweight, high-strength enclosure. This new enclosure is made from unidirectional (UD) carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP) tape and has a thickness of just 0.40 inches.
In July 2022, Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and automation, announced the launch of PrismaSeT S. This new series of enclosures simplifies the installation of electrical distribution in commercial and industrial buildings to be as straightforward as in residential settings, while offering enhanced resistance for demanding applications. PrismaSeT S also supports Schneider Electric’s sustainability initiative by incorporating recycled plastic materials into its manufacturing process.
In March 2022, Magna International Inc., a leading global automotive supplier, announced the expansion of its battery enclosure operations in Canada to accommodate new business from Ford Motor Company. The new 170,000-square-foot facility is set to create up to 150 new jobs and will produce battery enclosures for the Ford F-150 Lightning.
In February 2022, Siemens, a global leader in industrial automation and digitalization, partnered with Nexii Building Solutions to introduce a new sustainable EV charging concept. The VersiCharge XL is designed for large-scale fleet electrification and high-demand charging applications. This modular, scalable structure enables rapid and efficient electrification of new or existing parking lots and building facilities.
