- In February 2019, OSRAM Licht AG, one of the multinational lighting manufacturers, announced the launch of PLPT9 450D_E A01, its second-generation blue multi-mode laser, as a light source for auxiliary high-beam automotive forward lighting.
- In May 2018, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., an American manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components, announced the launch of its 37 new high-voltage thyristors and diodes for automotive applications. Qualified to AEC-Q101, the Vishay Semiconductors devices offer repetitive voltages from 600 V to 1600 V and wide current ranges in three package options.
- In August 2019, Diodes Incorporated, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of high-quality application-specific standard products within the broad discrete, logic, analog and mixed-signal semiconductor markets, and Lite-On Semiconductor Corporation (LSC), a Taiwan-based supplier of “green” power-related discrete and analog semiconductor devices, announced that both companies have entered into an agreement that provides for the acquisition of LSC by Diodes.
