• In March 2018, Komatsu Ltd introduced HD1500-8 mechanical mining dump truck. It is powered by a 50-liter engine, offering powerful running, supported by ample net power of 1,175kW (1,576HP). It is also equipped with a retarder with the largest volume in its class. When used together with the automatic retarder, the truck achieves safe and high-speed downhill traveling. As a result of shortening the cycle time, it offers high productivity. It is also equipped with Komatsu Traction Control System (KTCS) designed to optimize performance when traveling on slippery and/or soft surfaces.
• In March 2019, JCB announced an investment of 70.95 Mn in construction of the new plant in India. The new factory will be located in Vadodara near the port city of Surat in the State of Gujarat on the West Coast of India and will fabricate parts for global production lines as the company prepares to meet increased demand.
• In September 2019, Ashok Leyland, the flagship of the Hinduja Group, and one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in India becomes the first Indian OEM to meet the BS-VI emission norms across the full range of heavy-duty trucks (GVW of 16.2T and above)
• In January 2019, AB Volvo has announced that in 2020 it will start to launch a fully electric range of Volvo branded compact wheel loaders and compact excavators. With this move, Volvo CE is the first construction equipment manufacturer to commit to an electric future for its compact machine range. This move is aligned with the Volvo Group’s strategic focus on electromobility in all business areas.
• In February 2019, Deere & Company introduced its lineup of 6R Tractors by adding two more models, the 6230R and 6250R that bring customers faster, stronger, smarter tractors in the 6 Family that excel in hauling, transport and loader work.
