There are few hospitals already taking pace in starting new cancer units with high investments on their set up which includes chemotherapy equipment like chairs. For instance, in May 2018, Solihull Haematology and Oncology Day Unit project conducted by Solihull Hospital, managed by managed by University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation, opened their new unit on chemotherapy treatment with an investment of US$ 2.5 million. They mentioned the requirement of 31 patient treatment chairs in the three years in which 24 chairs required in the initial stage. These kind of initiations in the treatment of cancers expected to increase the demand of chemotherapy chairs in the near future.

Increasing donations from the Thunder Bay Regional Health Services Foundation is expected to aid growth of global chemotherapy chairs market. For instance, in November 2013, Lake of the Woods Regional Hospital received an amount of US$ 3,785 to purchase two treatment chairs for the hospital’s chemotherapy clinic, which are designed for patients weighing over 300 pounds. The money is a grant from the Thunder Bay Regional Health Services Foundation, which will allow the hospital to order the special chemotherapy chairs.
