On January 10 2023, Kronos Advanced Technologies, Inc., an innovation-driven product development and creator of patented Kronos core air disinfection technology inside its advanced smart air purification devices, announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently granted 510(k) clearance, classifying it as a Class II Medical Device. The FDA clearance was provided to the product manufacturer after a detailed review of the patented Model 5 device, which utilizes patented High Voltage Field air disinfection technology and is proven to eliminate 99.9% of harmful airborne particles, including allergens, bacteria, fungi, and viruses, such as COVID-19.

In September2022, Alkegen, a specialty materials platform that provides high performance materials used in advanced applications, announced they will be launching three new High Efficiency Filtration (HEF) products during their exhibition at the upcoming World Filtration Congress in San Diego, CA.
