Hydraulic tappets camshafts work with an internal cushion of pressurized oil. After initial preload at installation, a hydraulic camshaft & tappets setup adjusts itself automatically. Moreover, the HFTC provide 6,500 rpm, which in turn help to provide high efficiency to the engine as compared to conventional camshaft. This factor has led to increased adoption of HFTC over the conventional cam shaft.
