Global Automotive Mudguards Market: Key Developments

• In September 2019, Kia Motors introduced the Seltos SUV in the Indian Market with superior features and accessories including mud-flaps worth Rs. 634. The accessories were launched by the company in order to add more value to their offerings.
• In February 2019, SGI (Saskatchewan Government Insurance- Canada) mandated dealers to sell vehicles that meet SGI requirements including installation of proper mud flaps. SGI regulation states that each tire of the vehicle is required to have a fender, mud flap or body overhang which minimizes rearward projections of water, mud, gravel, and snow from tire. A fine of certain amount (ticket) can be issued in case of breaking of the regulation.
• In March 2019, Royal Enfield introduced the Bullet Trials Works Replica 350 and the Bullet Trials Works Replica 500 in Indian markets for Rs. 1.62 lakh (US$ 2283) and Rs. 2.07 lakh (US$ 2917) respectively with accessories including mudguards and luggage carrier.
