The company is focused on adopting strategies such as new product launches in order to enhance its product portfolio. For instance, in July 2019, Brakes India, one of the leading brake & brake fluids manufacturer, had launched a new brake fluid specially formulated for ABS equipped vehicles. This new fluid has features such as low viscosity, higher boiling point, and also meets FMVSS 116, SAE J1704, and IS 8654 specifications.
Moreover, in April 2018, Q8Oils, a part of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), launched two new Brake Fluids - Q8 Brake Fluid DOT 4+ and Q8 Brake Fluid DOT 4 LV. The Q8 Brake Fluid DOT 4+ offered a higher wet and dry boiling point and can be used where a non-petroleum type fluid is essential. While the Q8 Brake Fluid DOT 4 LV was particularly developed for Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Electronic ESP (Electronic Stability Program) systems using Glycol Ether based Brake Fluids.
Furthermore, in 2017, TMD Friction Holdings Gmbh, a Nisshinbo Group company, expanded its Textar brake fluid portfolio. They introduced a new brake fluid - DOT 5.1. This new brake fluid is particularly developed for current braking systems as they require brake fluids with low viscosity.
