This advanced system is designed to boost airlines' net promoter scores (NPS), improve passenger interaction, and achieve operational efficiencies by leveraging IFE and connectivity features. Astrova aims to enhance the overall flying experience, increase customer satisfaction, and optimize airline operations through its innovative in-flight entertainment and communication capabilities.
In June 2022, Collins Aerospace, an American aerospace and defense products supplier, unveiled its Hypergamut™ Lighting System during the Aircraft Interiors Exposition in Hamburg, Germany. This state-of-the-art full-cabin lighting system is designed to align with human biology, mitigating passenger jetlag. It optimizes colors to enhance the appearance of cabin materials, food, and fixtures. Additionally, the system operates autonomously, intelligently synchronizing with real-time flight data, enabling predictive and independent functionality throughout the flight.
In November 2021, Gogoair Inc., a US-based company offering in-flight broadband Internet and connectivity services for business aircraft, has formed a partnership with Duncan Aviation, the largest family-owned provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services in the United States. The collaboration aims to secure engineering and certification services to successfully complete the Supplemental Type Certification (STC) process for the Gogo 5G system.
In June 2022, Astronics Corporation, a U.S.-based aerospace electronics company, secured a deal with Southwest Airlines to supply its EMPOWER® Passenger In-Seat Power System for installation on a total of 475 Boeing 737 MAX-7 and MAX-8 aircraft.
