Cardiac monitoring generally refers to the continuous or intermittent monitoring of cardiac activity, usually by electrocardiography, to assess the patient's condition in relation to the heart rhythm which included are ECG monitoring devices, Holter monitoring devices, ECG stress test devices and event monitoring devices. Cardiovascular system monitoring and diagnostic devices are used for continuous monitoring of heart patients suffering from various cardiovascular diseases. Cardiac monitoring usually means continuous or intermittent cardiac monitoring, usually by electrocardiography, to assess the patient's condition in relation to the heart rhythm. An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a device that records the electrical activity of the heart as waveforms with electrodes placed in contact with the body (chest) and the signals recorded on an electrocardiogram screen. Cardiac monitor is a way to check the electrical activity of the heart to make sure it is working normally. Five small stickers called electrodes will be attached to body. They are connected to either a small box (telemetry box) or a large wall-mounted monitor.
