- In January 2022, Wolverine World Wide, Inc. launched the Floorhand Waterproof 6" Soft Toe Work Boot, designed for the service industry with slip resistance and cushioning. Wolverine World Wide, Inc.is a publicly traded American footwear manufacturer based in Rockford, Michigan. The shoemaker is known for its eponymous brand, Wolverine Boots and Shoes, as well as other brands, such as Hush Puppies and Merrell.
- In June 2021, Timberland PRO launched the Endurance PRO Work Boot with 24/7 comfort suspension and anti-fatigue technology for all-day comfort. Timberland PRO is a brand of work boots and workwear that is part of the Timberland company. Timberland PRO was introduced in 1999 as a line of work boots designed for professional tradespeople, with features such as waterproofing, insulation, steel toe, slip resistance, and protection from electrical hazards.
- In September 2020, Martens launched a new range of industrial boots meeting EN ISO 20345 safety standards for workplace safety. Dr. Martens, also commonly known as Doc Martens, Docs or DMs, is a German-founded British footwear and clothing brand, headquartered in Wollaston in the Wellingborough district of Northamptonshire, England.

- In January 2022, Wolverine World Wide, Inc acquired Sweaty Betty, a premium women’s activewear brand, for US$410 million to expand its brand portfolio. Sweaty Betty is a British retailer specializing in women's activewear, founded by Tamara and Simon Hill-Norton. It has over 50 boutiques in the U.K., six boutiques in the U.S. and concessions in department stores Harrods and Bloomingdale's.
- In March 2021, Rocky Brands acquired Honeywell’s Pro and Retail Footwear businesses, including the Rocky, Georgia Boot, and Durango brands, for US$230 million. Rocky Brands, Inc., formerly known as Rocky Shoes & Boots, Inc., designs, develops, manufactures, and markets outdoor, work, western, and military footwear, as well as other outdoor and work apparel and accessories. Honeywell is an American multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company primarily operates in four areas of business: aerospace, building technologies, performance materials and technologies (PMT), and safety and productivity solutions (SPS).
- In May 2020, Blundstone partnered with Xero Shoes to develop footwear using Xero Shoes’ FeelTrue technology. Blundstone Footwear is an Australian footwear brand, based in Hobart, Tasmania, with most manufacturing being done overseas since 2007. The company's best-known product is its line of laceless, elastic-sided, ankle-length boots. Xero Shoes is a brand of lightweight minimalist footwear manufactured by Feel the World Inc. The company was founded in 2009 by Steven Sashen and Lena Phoenix. Xero Shoes initially offered DIY sandals made of a rubber sole and laces, later introducing ready-made sandals and closed-toed shoes.
