New Product Launches:
- In October 2021, UNTHA Recycling Technology is a manufacturer of robust, innovative and energy launched the RS40 and RS50 shredders for recycling bulky waste like mattresses and furniture. The new models feature higher throughputs to handle large appliances more efficiently.
- In January 2022, Fritz Tenten announced the launch of a new 70,000 square-foot appliance recycling facility in Dallas with automated disassembly and data tracking capabilities. The plant will help Tenten to expand its recycling capacity in North America.
- In June 2020, ARCA Recycling opened a new 43,000 square-foot appliance recycling facility in Lakeland, Florida featuring high-tech processing lines to double its recycling capacity.
Acquisition and Partnerships:
- In May 2022, Retriev Technologies acquired a majority stake in UNTHA Recycling to bring together their expertise in e-waste and metal recycling to better serve customers
- In March 2021, Electrolux partnered with Aucma to open two recycling plants in China for responsible end-of-life handling of obsolete appliances. The plants have a combined capacity to process over 1 million units per year.
