In December 2024, the Lalla Salma Foundation, Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, and International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) organized a full-colposcopy training course in Kolkata, India. The purpose of the program was to enhance the knowledge of healthcare practitioners regarding cervical cancer prevention. There were eleven Moroccan general practitioners who attended the training, and it equipped them with practical skills in diagnostic methods, colposcopy methods, and optimal methods of detecting early cervical cancer. Enhancing the ability of the participants to use modern colposcopy machines and interpret the data accordingly was the main goal of the training. This is imperative for early detection and efficient prevention of cervical cancer. Global knowledge exchange and capacity building in the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer were the key areas of this partnership.
In May of 2023, the EVA App, developed by MobileODT to facilitate SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) protocols and colposcopy screening, was released. With its user-friendly interface and streamlined workflow, the app streamlines the colposcopy procedure and enhances the medical professional's experience. With its integration into MobileODT's colposcopy device, the EVA App facilitates the capture, storage, and sharing of images in real time to support improved clinical decision-making and diagnosis. The application also supports remote consultation, allowing experts to provide comments and advice as screenings are ongoing. The objectives of this launch are to enhance patient care, particularly in underserved communities, increase efficiency, and reduce the associated complications of conventional colposcopy procedures. The dedication of the company to developing rapidly available and effective technology for cervical cancer screening is exemplified best by the innovative approach of MobileODT, highlighting its competitive strategies to expand access to advanced medical solutions globally.
In January 2022, MobileODT introduced its newly developed Visual Check Artificial Intelligence (AI) Algorithm, a landmark breakthrough in cervical cancer screening and a revolutionary product in women's health. The artificial intelligence-based technology identifies suspicious results, with automatic image analysis of the images taken at the time of screening and quick and accurate detection, as opposed to traditional methods. With its optimization of early detection of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions, the technology allows medical professionals to make better, faster decisions. Most importantly, in low-resource environments, the Visual Check AI Algorithm aims to improve diagnostic accuracy, streamline the screening process, simplify procedures, and eliminate human bias. Through its cutting-edge technology, MobileODT is set to expand access to high-quality cervical cancer screening and enable the world to reduce cervical cancer mortality rates through improved early diagnosis and treatment.
In March 2021, MobileODT launched its next-generation Visual Check Artificial Intelligence (AI) Algorithm, a major leap in cervical cancer screening and women's health. The advanced AI offering complements the company's colposcopy platform by maximizing cervical image analysis, thereby speeding up diagnostic speed and accuracy. The Visual Check AI, utilized to detect abnormal cells and suspected precancerous lesions, allows healthcare professionals to make faster and more accurate decisions. The fact that the algorithm is capable of real-time analysis makes it especially well-suited for utilization in low-resource environments where access to skilled professionals may be limited. MobileODT technology will be likely to make cervical cancer screening more available and efficient worldwide, resulting in earlier detection of cervical cancer, better patient outcomes, and fewer cervical cancer deaths, ultimately advancing women's health globally. The colposcopes industry is expected to witness significant growth during the forecast period, which is fuelled by the increasing cervical and vaginal cancer incidence globally.
Technological advancements are one of the main reasons for this growth. Also, more research and development activities by different manufacturers to produce more economical devices are likely to drive the market further.
